Christmas at the Houghtelling's

Dave and I love Christmas time! We enjoy decorating our house, Christmas goodies, buying gifts, etc. It is so fun to actually have your own house to decorate. Surprisingly enough, we only have one more gift to buy! I am usually a Christmas Eve shopper. :) I think my favorite part of Christmas is the traditions. My family has a few traditions we have always done and I look forward to them every year.

1. Instead of buying a gift for every family member we draw names. We all always still end up getting Mom and Dad something though, because they are the BEST!

2. We have for the past 3 or 4 years gotten together at Mom and Dad's and decorated Ginger Bread Houses. (this coming up weekend, so pics to come)

3. We love to all load up in Dad's truck and go to Lake Lanier's Nights of Lights and enjoy hot chocolate and Santa at the end. (this coming up weekend as well...look for pics)

4. Mom and Dad always let us open one gift on Christmas Eve.

Warning: Sorry about the pics being so dark...I am not a photographer!

WELCOME!!

Our Tree

This is Dave's favorite...he loves to get a new building each year!

4 Years!

Dave and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary on December 4th! We can not believe it...time flies! My job has been absolutely insane these past couple weeks so we were not able to go out of town. We ended up going out to eat at Kani House--Japanese Steak House and Sushi. We enjoyed our meal hibachi style...our chef was great! (for those of you that don't know what hibachi is---they cook in front of you on a large grill)

Dave was so sweet to send these BEAUTIFUL
