Family Home Evening

My family started a new thing where once a month we have FHE at someone's house. We do it this way since not all of us have kids and the ones that do are young. We rotate each month on who hosts it. We have a song, lesson, and of course treats! This month was at our house. So far it has been a hige success. It really has been something we all look forward to and is a great example for all of us, especially the kids. Here are a few shots of my cute neices and nephew and everyone else.

BUNCO!

I have been playing Bunco for almost 4 years now! I absolutely love it. We play with all women and once a year we have a couples Bunco. We have 12 ladies who play and we play once a month. With that you have to host it at your house once a year. July was my month! Hosting is a BIG job. You have to prepare a nice dinner for everyone, purchase all of the prizes, clean your house top to bottom, (at least I do) and run around the whole night making sure everyone has what they need. Needless to say I love the months when it is at someone elses's house! :) Here are a few pictures I took that night.

Houghtelling's Get Fit!

Dave and I have decided to get serious and get healthy! I joined Gold's Gym and he joined LA Fitness. I wanted classes and he wanted a pool. We do not go at the same time so being at different gyms was no biggie. I am happy to report we have both gone everyday this week, and we plan to get up and go tomorrow morning. I love taking the classes. It is one straight hour of workout where you don't get bored and you can't stop because it would be humiliating to get up and walk out. Plus, about 4 girls from my ward are teachers at Gold's and they are great motivators! We are far from our goal, but I would say for the first week we have done pretty good! I will report later on how we are doing.

Myrtle Beach 2008

We actually went to the beach back in March, but since I have just started blogging I will post it now. Megan, Lee, Dave, and I all went to Myrtle Beach. We had a blast together. Megan and I had a chance to go parasailing for the first time. Dave and Lee had so much fun at Captain Anderson's with the all you can eat seafood. We all enjoyed soaking up all the rays, except Dave, he is anti-tan. He wears Baby 50+ and does not miss one spot when putting it on! Dave also enjoyed chasing the seagulls when we went walking on the beach. Check out the video below!

4th of July Pics

Dave and I went to Helen, Georgia for the Fourth. Megan, Lee, Mom, and Dad joined us as well. We had a good time. For those of you who don't know, Helen is a little German town in north Georgia. For dinner we ate at a real German restaurant, Edelweiss. It was kinda not my thing. I prefer ALL AMERICAN. We looked around in all the cute shops. My sister and I bought some cute croc flip flops, and then it was off to the fireworks!
